| If you are interested in making a cash donation for use by the Austin Police Department's K-9 Patrol Unit, please send a check made payable to the Austin Police Community Liaison Corporation at the following address: Austin Police Department Office of Community Liaison P.O. Box 689001 Austin, TX 78768 Please be sure to include a note indicating that the donation is to specifically go to the K-9 Patrol Unit. And include your return address so that information on your donation can be sent back to you for your tax purposes. Donations are used to purchase equipment that are to support the police dogs and/or their handlers. An example of use of a recent donation is that the money was used to purchase beacons in order for the K-9 teams to be tracked at night by Air One, the Austin Police Department's helicopter unit.
