K-9 Crime Fighters
Aztek is a 7-year-old (as of 2006), 75-pound,
male Belgian Malinois who served on APD's
K-9 Patrol for 4 years. Originally from The
Netherlands, he worked with his handler,
Officer Rich Forbes, for 4 years. Aztek retired
from K-9 Patrol in May 2005 and as of Fall
2005 is a narcotics detector canine in APD
working with Detective Moore.
Aztek is living with his new handler, Detective
Moore, and his black lab. We hear Aztek gets
along great with the lab and is enjoying his
new home.
