K-9 Crime Fighters
Tex is a 3-year-old, 64-pound, belgian malinois from The
Netherlands who is currently serving in APD's K-9 Patrol from
2009 to the present. About a year after certifying him
street-ready, his first handler, Officer Mike Rauert transferred
out of K-9 Patrol. His current handler is Officer Pat O'Connor
who has just transferred into K-9 Patrol. They are currently
training together and we look forward to their graduation to
the streets.
Tex was formerly known as Ace when Mike Rauert was his
handler.
