"
Name That Dog" Contest Winners
(See further down for Honorable Mentions)
The winning name is Vuk (pronounced "Vook"), which is Croatian for wolf.  Nevil Easterling of Ms. Bush's 5th-grade class at Patton Elementary chose the name for the 7th Austin police dog.

The new name was placed in a cannister and thrown into a field.  Chase locates the name while performing an "evidence" search. Officer Lahr opens the cannister to read the winning name to Ms. Bush's class.
